100 Days of Summer

Remember back in grade school when you had to write about what you did over summer vacation? Well, if you spent it in St. Pete/Clearwater, it would be a rather long paper. In fact, there’s so much to do in St. Pete/Clearwater that BVK and SP/C created a promotion called 100 Days of Summer.
Photo-heavy print ads highlight a variety of activities, beachside and
beyond, that make this Florida west coast destination so popular. Readers are encouraged to go online where they can find an entire calendar of good times, as well as special deals and offers.

As a Pinellas County and beach resident, I am looking forward to the 100 Days of summer campaign. It will be great to witness the increases in the hospitality and accommodations industries. Your creative has me excited. While I won’t see media in the Tampa Bay market (SP/C’s market), which cities are targeted and what media used? Is this the Drive Markets campaign?

Thanks Greg! Actually you will see a lot of it! We are targeting the primary summer drive markets for Pinellas which are Tampa Bay and Orlando. So these are the primary markets of emphasis for this effort. It includes outdoor which posted 5/2; radio, geo-targeted online rich media and newspaper cover wraps (there was one one wrapped around the St Pete Times on 5/25. We’ll have another one on 6/29. Have you checked out the contest? You can win each week and the grand prize is one of two beach parties for you and 99 of your friends!

You may also see some new TV that just started running in the market this week. It’s brand not 100 Days of Summer. Sure they will be posted here soon too.
