Avera “Fire” Voted Best Healthcare Spot of 2009.

BVK had another great showing at this year’s 27th annual national Healthcare Advertising Awards, taking home 33 awards – more than any other ad agency.   The list includes 14 golds, 6 silvers, 4 bronze

and 8 merits. But the spot that took home a Best of Show was the popular Avera “Fire” TV spot. The funny spot depicts a man watering his grass, as his house burns wildly out of control behind him, and his neighbor is desperately trying to get him to do something about it. The message being that “ignoring chest pain is just as ridiculous.” BVK clients that also won awards included, Southeast Missouri Hospital, Lifebridge Health System, Mount Carmel, Mount Carmel College of Nursing, OU Medical Center, Loyola, Memorial Hospital & Health System, St. John’s Hospital and Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital.

The Healthcare Advertising Awards is the oldest, largest and most widely respected healthcare advertising awards competition in the nation.  In 2010, there were over 4,000 entries received.
