First there was Monk-E-Mail for Career Builder. Then Elf Yourself for Office Max. Now Manatee Message is making it’s way into America’s inboxes just in time for the holidays. The latest viral effort from BVK is on behalf of the Beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel. The website, dubbed ManateeMessage.com, allows visitors to send funny email messages to their family, friends and co-workers using the destination mascot, Hugh Manatee. Users can dress Hugh in funny hats, put him in ridiculous backgrounds and either create their own personalized messages or use one of over half a dozen canned ones. The quirky site is another way the Beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel is reaching out to younger travelers, as well as continuing awareness for their natural island sanctuary during the off-peak seasons.
