What role do you play as part of BVK Leadership?
I direct media strategy and help lead the connection planning process at BVK. My goal is to better inform roles of all channels by layering research over the consumer journey.
What do you think makes BVK unique as an agency/why do you choose to work at BVK?
BVK has an entrepreneurial atmosphere that encourages controlled risk taking, leading to communication ideas that push the boundaries of comfort for our clients. I came here to inject new media-focused risks into the mix.
What unique perspective or talent or interest or experience do you bring to the agency and how does it add value to your leadership and client work?
I let research guide decisions but I don’t use it as a handbook. I think I provide a good blend of understanding insights, using intuition, and considering user experience when coming up with ideas. I have been able to develop never-been-done collaborations between creative and media that set a new standard for relevant communications.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to any client?
Serve the needs of the consumer, not just the needs of your brand. Regardless of research, think about how a consumer is likely to engage your brand and let their mindset determine the message and the medium.
