Travel and Tourism Week Celebrates its 35th Anniversary as BVK Recognizes our Industry Clients

Now in its 35th year, National Travel and Tourism Week is the annual salute to travel in America. During the first full week in May, communities nationwide unite to showcase the impact of travel to policymakers, business leaders and media with rallies, events and other activities.
This week at BVK, we’re celebrating the work we do in partnership with our tourism clients, whose mission is to welcome travelers from near and far. Through travel, we discover other cultures and civilizations and as we do so, determine who we really are. Travel moves people in ways that are transformational and life-changing.
As an industry, travel generates $2.4 trillion for the U.S. economy, and is America’s second-largest industry export. In the last decade alone, travel’s economic output increased from $697 million to $990 million, supporting a total of 16.2 million jobs overall.
As marketers, we’re incredibly fortunate to work in an industry that not only has a positive emotional benefit to consumers, but a significant impact on the U.S. economy. Cheers to our tourism client partners who have made this possible since BVK opened its doors in 1984.
