With consumers becoming more and more willing to show loyalty to independent local businesses, provider-sponsored health plans are in an enviable position. We recently took a closer look at consumer satisfaction and found that individuals view their local health care provider far more favorably than they do large insurance companies. There’s more to it, however, than simply having the right zip code. To take advantage of consumer loyalty and build business for the long-haul, plans must build a brand that embodies “main street” values such as responsibility and honesty.
