Strong Babies Take to the Streets
Cause Marketing

To raise awareness for Milwaukee’s annual Strong Baby casting call, BVK volunteers placed larger-than-life babies in high traffic areas around the city performing super-human acts of strength. Babies doing pull-ups at the public library, doing handstands in front of the YWCA and lifting public garbage cans in front of the Bradley Center created a media frenzy in both social and traditional media outlets.
The attention-getting campaign, had an immediate impact on the effort’s social media efforts- resulting in an 1100% in page “likes” and over 67,000 interactions with posts to the strong baby Facebook page over just a two week period. The iconic strong baby campaign is part of the city’s on-going effort to reduce Milwaukee’s infant mortality rate, which is one of the worst in the country.
