In an effort to create a buzz around the need for more foster parents in Wisconsin, BVK volunteers did something they knew would get attention. They got Clear Channel to put 50 billboards of kids and adults upside down across the state. The campaign set off a deluge of calls and emails to news outlets and Clear Channel about the billboard “mistake.”. A month later, the images were flipped right side up, along with the words, Turn a life around. and FosterParentsRock.org. The effort, which coincided with a series of upside down flash mobs and upside down social media posts, generated over 17 million media impressions and a 475% increase in foster care inquiries
