Managing Partner, BVK Health

What role do you play as part of BVK Leadership?

As a Managing Partner, I work with a team of other partners to lead the agency. I’m responsible for helping to lead the healthcare practice.

What do you think makes BVK unique as an agency/why do you choose to work at BVK?

BVK has a unique entrepreneurial culture that allows people to develop to their highest potential in a non-competitive and empowering environment. This fosters a level of innovation and focus that has enabled us to become a national (and in some cases international) player in a number of industry sectors, and to develop a range of services not usually found in an agency our size. I like that we remain an independent agency. We’re free to create real integration of services that add unique value for our clients. This approach has created a number of relationships that have spanned decades.

What unique perspective or talent or interest or experience do you bring to the agency and how does it add value to your leadership and client work?

I bring a business builder’s mentality to what I do. At the end of the day, we need to build brand equity and generate market share in an increasingly chaotic environment. It’s easy for sound business and brand thinking to get lost in that kind of environment. I make sure that never happens.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to any client?

Treat brand as a business strategy, and relentlessly orchestrate perceptual and operational differentiation.
