Winter Blows

As part of a guerrilla “Winter Blows” campaign in New York and Chicago, hitchhiking snowmen were propped with suitcases and placed in well trafficked commuter locations. Tapping into the misery of a bone-chilling winter, the concept imagined that even snowmen want to get away from the brutal conditions. Their signs directed onlookers to a landing page where they could share their own winter photos and enter a St. Pete/Clearwater beach getaway sweepstakes. In tandem, WinterBlows.com was stenciled on large, dirty snow drifts and in situations where snowfall heightened commuters’ general misery. The guerrilla effort earned significant local news coverage and was heavily photographed and shared in social channels.
